Just keep sewing sewing sewing....

I realise I am starting a trend of opening posts with twitterings (is that a word?) about the weather, which is very British of me, so I shall skip the comment about the first snow of the season and get straight to it.

I spent most of my weekend altering re-works and sewing up re-mades.
A few Re-works in the form of high waisted flippy mini skirts to add to the ridiculous amount I have sewn up already.
(Please ignore how badly some of these need ironing!)

And a few midi and maxi skirts that could also be worn as dresses with a waistbelt.

Re-mades, simple mini waisted dresses, again I think these always look best with a waistbelt, and a maxi which is floor length, I intend to make another of these in the same fabric with black lace in the back. (I have made a mini version with a lace back.)

Working in fabric buying, print sourcing and design always inspires me to look out for the quirkiest of colourful vintage fabrics and prints, I often think a simple cut in a beautiful fabric is all you need, over design is overkill so I let the fabrics speak for themselves.

  This one is vintage Liberty

As usual there is a bit of a floral theme, probably due to an afternoon sometime last week spent researching trend and colour predictions and swotting up on the latest designer collections, I have for the third/fourth/fifth time fallen in love with Ashish Gupta's S/S12 collection. Being a girl that pays great attention to detail I couldn't help but get excited over the use of glitter, clashing florals and boots filled with flowers!

And just 1 more thing, Dolce & Gabbana: Onions, Aubergines, courgettes and carrots! You either love it, or hate it. Janey hearts.

If you hate it at first glance you may find it grows on you...
